About Your Therapist | Art Therapy, EMDR, Trauma and Anxiety Therapy in Maryland & Texas
Hi there! I’m Kimmy (she/her):
I’m a queer-affirming and neurodivergent- affirming therapist in Maryland (Texas coming soon!) who specializes in working with tweens, teens, adult women and members of the LGBTQ+ community who are navigating anxiety, religious and relational trauma (and other forms of trauma), perfectionism, people-pleasing, and struggles with self-worth, and authenticity.
You know yourself best, and I am here to walk beside you and support you in exploring your experiences with compassion and curiosity. Together, we will explore and embrace all parts of yourself with curiosity and self-compassion, helping you connect with your authentic self in a way that feels safe and nurturing. You are worthy of healing, of healthy relationships, and of living a life where you feel respected, understood, and supported. I honor the courage it takes to seek help and celebrate the first steps you are taking toward growth, resilience, and self-discovery.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who you are, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Who do I work best with?
Many of the people I work with are in the process of unlearning harmful messages—especially those rooted in rigid belief systems or unhealthy relationship patterns. Whether you’re healing from experiences in high-control religious environments, family systems that silenced your voice, or relationships where you felt unsafe to be yourself, our work together can help you reconnect with your inner truth.
You may find yourself struggling with uncertainty about your needs, showing up authentically in relationships, navigating deep questions of identity, or feeling that the survival strategies that you’ve carried for so long are no longer helping you. You deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we can work toward understanding your needs, healing from past wounds, and cultivating a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Healing starts when you’re ready to be seen and supported. Together, we can nurture your strength, tend to the wounds that ache, and gently open the door to a future where you feel more alive—more whole, more yourself, and deeply at home in your own skin.
Together, we can begin to make meaningful, lasting change. Meet the therapist:
What is my approach?
I offer an integrative approach that includes art therapy, talk therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). These modalities support healing not just through insight, but also through creativity, the body, and the nervous system. My goal is to create a space where all parts of you are welcome—especially the ones that have felt hidden, rejected, or silenced.
Outside of sessions you can find me long distance running, exploring with my dog, Scout, painting and trying out new art mediums, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends! I am a coffee and plant lover.
